Magistrate gambled during office hours

Suspended Kempton Park chief magistrate, Judy van Schalkwyk, will be called to appear before a disciplinary committee on charges of serious misconduct, Beeld reported.

Among the complaints the Magistrates Commission will investigate against her, is that she ordered magistrates and clerks to take her to gambling venues and private appointments during office hours.
