Wow, PS4 wins hands down. I just really dont like the fact that the Xbone drops its frame rate in heavy scenes. Its scary considering that its meant to be a beast, and that its only running an internal res of 720p.
Having said that, I kinda like the Xbones look in the vid. It seems a little more crisp, and even though thats just because of the video settings (oversaturation and all that) it still looks pretty good. I kept thinking in comparison the PS4 looks a bit blurry.
Yeah, I've seen some more video comparisons that show there's also a bit of sharpening applied to the upscaled image to make it look clearer. That along with the darker images and the methods DICE is using to hide the uglier textures will probably be enough to make some people think it's the better image. We'll have to wait until hands-on comparisons can be done.
On the bright side, both console's exclusives play to their own strengths, so those will look pretty good.
Considering that both use almost the same hardware, it is scary how code can change the way textures are used in a game differently from one platform to another. I would have expected the Xbone to klap the PS4. I would have loved to see Titanfall coming to the PS4 as well so we can see how an Xbox One exclusive would run on the PS4 but that will not happen after EA confirmed it as a Xbone exclusive.
I saw the PC vs PS4 comparison and it is nogal close. I know that console will never be able to really compare to PC's but this is great seeing how the consoles are catching up: http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/6...ics-comparison
My money is still firmly on the PS4 but again, I'd like to look at future titles coming in a year or two's time after developers have become a bit more comfy with the next generation's quirks and systems. Once they figure out how to really squeeze the power out of these consoles, I bet you will see some stunning visuals that will blow us away.
