Post I miss this game - Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.

I played Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I read the article below and was reminded of how great it actually was.

I'm looking at the recent PRG's Ive played en, even though they were really good, they lacked that something special that Vampire: The Masquerade had. It had an amazing atmosphere and character development was spot on with every one you interacted with. Yes, it is an old game and looks horrid to today's standards but back then I was blown away by it.

I loved the combat and the stats you had to adjust every time you leveled up. Then there's the modding where we would create our own Prague-like town complete with a cemetery, catacombs and cathedral in which to create out own single player experience. Damn, those were the good old days.

It might just be nostalgia that is making me forget the obvious flaws in the game but I think back to my time playing this game with fond memories.

When will they release another game like this that invoke such emotions in you that ensures you remember the game for years to come as if you've just played it?

Well, there's a World of Darkness MMO in the works. Not quite what I want though--I would love another deep single-player CRPG like this from Troika. Too bad Troika no longer exists... But imagine what BioWare, Obsidian or CDProjekt RED could do with White Wolf's IP... *swoon*

I used to play it knackered and now I play it once a year or so. It's currently 75% off on Steam and there's a new 8.8 patch out: http://www.patches-scrolls.com/vampire_bloodlines.php

I loved Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. A couple of years ago someone here at MyGaming was looking for a copy so I sold mine. I missed it so much that I bought it again on Steam.

Would love to play it again one day.

I saw it on Steam this afternoon and opted rather for Fallout 3: New Vegas as I have't finished it yet on my PS3. I will most probably be getting it later in the week if I can resist the call.

It is a shame that they don't make them like they used to and I wonder if we will ever see one of these again.
