I can't explain it. Maybe a little moisture?

From working in that industry I still maintain that computers also like to get out and go for a drive from time to time.

I can attest to the fact that computers need the warm physical touch of a human on their inner bits every now and then

Right, so i'm out of ideas. I'm trying to figure why my brother's cpu keeps maxing out when playing games. Whenever he plays a game all cores shoot up to 100% usage and the games start to stutter. Old thermal compound has been replaced and cooler reseated just in case its a overheating issue but the temps max out at 65-70 when running at 100%. Maybe the cpu/mobo is just borked.

Yep yep. Made sure all drivers are up to date including GPU.

I would have blamed it on the CPU bottlenecking the GPU but it just randomly started.

CPU make/model? Mobo make/model? What is the BIOS settings? Overclocked?
