Has anyone tried to buy this via Steam? I am considering buying the EU version, but have discovered that when i log into Steam via a browser or via the Steam client, there doesn't seem to be an option to buy the game.

My buddy in Norway goes to the same Steam page and he does see the offer to purchase it. I guess Steam is looking at my IP address and figures since I am not in europe i should not have the option to buy it?

Plan B is to buy it from here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/lol
Currently R155 based on the current Rand/Dollar exchange rate.

    HoN is the better choice.

    *Local server.

*Once off payment and you get everything unlike LoL where buying the game only unlocks a few heroes.

Rather just play the free grinding version. Not worth buying.

    Cool

I can play it online without buying O.0?
(You can register on their website ( http://leagueoflegends.com ), and Download and play for free Currently)

But I know that you get benefits in game if you purchased it via various deals

Btw correct me if I'm wrong, but the heroes can be unlocked through playing more games (getting more points) , not necessarily through buying the game, although buying points in the game with real money does speed the process by alot.

though I still agree with hideinlight that HoN is better (in my own oppinion) because LoL has a sort of slow demigod kind of pace, in comparison to HoN,
HoN is also alot more like DotA then LoL
Although LoL is many many times more noob friendly

Definitely go for HON, they kept the important stuff and added useful new elements

league of legends has joined demigod in the ranks of dota-inspired fail. they all tried to do something different - they shouldn't've. should of just gone for a clone with a few extra elements - the key to hon's success.
