If you're referring to the new "tnief" game, I wouldn't get your hopes up. At least not with things such as focus-mode(bullet-time) where you can take down guards with ease. From what I've read, the devs are backpedaling quite hard now due to the backlash from the Thief community (they've indicated that they are removing XP, quick-time events, etc.)
