New WoW Expansion? WHy?

So I see Blizzard has announced a new WoW Expansion. Why? Will this game not die?

I wonder how it'll hold up next year against the likes of Destiny and the other MMORPG's?

I can totally see why they will keep on distracting the people with new shiny....

Doesn't need to compete... WOW addicts will only switch once there is no more shiny or if the wow servers are down. Also Destiny is a whole different type of MMO not aimed at WOW or EVE players.

OMF Finally Blizzard decided to take the right route...TBC 2.0 here we come! I honestly can't f**king wait for this, especially after the bore that Cataclysm and MoP were.

Not just that...they can't just shut down their servers while millions of people are still playing. They will probably have to reduce the number of servers/staff gradually until the game eventually dies out.

Like it or not, WoW is still wildly popular and it's one of the biggest, easiest and most expansive MMOs to get into.

I don't know, but I somehow get the feeling this might be the last expansion before they announce WoW 2, so maybe I'll resub a few months for old times sake when this releases.

I remember back in BC days seeing leaked expansion plans. Final level was 100, so you might not be far off.
