I was in EU at the time and my dad asked what I wanted for my birthday. So I asked him for Diablo 2: LoD. He said "whut" I said it's a fantasy game. He somehow got the name mixed up and got me BG2. I was like "wtfisthisshit" at first, but then I reluctantly tried it and fell in love![]()
Super Mario Bros 3. Changing into a raccoon and flying away for the first time was epic. Got it for my birthday in the year it came out...
Ah...quite a few actually but the first one that I just couldn't get enough of at the time was probably Harrier Attack on the ZX Spectrum:

Of course there were so many that I can remember growing up...Dune II was another that I spent way too much time playing.
