Hmmm it's a tough one. I will go with Sim City since I loved it so much that I actually wanted to become a city planner when I was younger.

I played allot of games since i was young,Me and Senti didn't own most of the consoles but we usually went to play at friends places and cafe's.
Had to share our first PC and single player console games.
Fun started when we each got our own PC,we both played the pirated version of BC2 and then bought the real version when we finally had access to the internet. Was pissed when i found out you can't play the game online on different computers with one copy of the game but gave in and bought another one.
After that we rarely played together because our game interests changed (I like games with lots of customization, futuristic things and where you can build custom things like guns and things and change their parts to change how they fire, there was an Indie game called Engine Of War which i enjoyed lots)
Anyway i consider BC2 my first real game.

it's a tie between Monkey Island 1 and Police Quest 1
I can remember playing these two titles on our old 486 way back when, and these got me properly hooked to gaming on PC:

Contra. Remember finishing the game from start to end with one life.
Why one life you ask? Coz my mom kept stealing my lives when she died :'(
I was a avid gamer , but what got me hooked was metal gear solid on the PSX , after that I just got game after game it became a weekly thing for me
