Prince of persia first:
Then Wolfenstein 3D:
Then more recently (in relative terms)...CS1.6, COD2, and BLOPS1. Its been all FPS since Wolfenstein 3D.
I would have to say it would be Tekken 2. After spending who know how much at the Arcade it was undeniable that I'm a gamer now

This game made me want to game for the rest of my life:

Rise of the triad![]()
first fps I played and got me into doom ( which was so awesome at the time and still is)
Also I've loved RTS games since I first played Warcraft 3 and C&C generals.
My dad bought us a Commodore 64 (with tape drive) and my brother got Gunship for his birthday, we played that broken.
Box art
But what really got me into gaming and LAN's was Quake 1. There has never been a game that sucked me in like Quake 1. The first couple of weeks I went to work red eyed and dog tired. Then I found ftp.cdrom.com and slept even less with TONs of mods, levels and misc extras. www.planetquake.com was thee place for Quake related info, but has sadly died recently.
LAN's with a mate till the morning, I only realized it was morning when I heard the birdies chirping.
Not only that, but being able to build your own custom levels and mods...I never made any mods but did build some levels...damn those compile times were sadistic. Waiting a couple of hour only to find a leak in your level....
I still have Quake 1 (2 and 3) installed on my system, with my original config files from back yay.

Life-changing? World of Warcraft. Most immersing, time-consuming thing I've EVER done.
