    Rumours have started the M$ wants to buy Winamp. Considering how they handles Skype, it might not be an entirely bad thing..

    I'm not surprised. Microsoft had a fair hand in destroying WinAmp and Netscape. They don't like competition.

    I also have been using WinAmp since v0.2x iirc (definately v0.something), before the public even knew what an MP3 was. Can't say I've ever felt the need to upgrade it, only grab the latest version on a fresh O/S install. So I'll be good with the final release for a few years, at least.

    Wow, I remember Netscape........I was 15 years old and wanted to see what would happened if I searched for the word 'boobs'
