Views around JHB

The Westcliff has an amazing view from the pool and you don't have to be a guest to visit. Definitely one of my favourite spots to enjoy a good whiskey with mates. It's a bit pricey overall, but it'll score you mad brownie points with the missus. (The hotel's currently closed for renovations though, I think. Maybe check before you head out there.)

There's also a rad bar at the Southern Sun Hotel in Hyde Park with a sweet view, but you won't get much privacy as I remember it always being quite busy.

Failing either of these, if you just want a spot to chill and take in the scenery you can always go up Northcliff Hill or Linksfield Ridge. I spent many nights at both places doing suspect things during my turbulent youth.

I would suggest skipping that area!!!!
