Haha I'm a lot more than an incorrigible fan. My friends would be able to tell you how annoying I am leading up to the release of a new TR game (shoving every new piece of released media down their throats xD)

Another game similar to this is La Mulana.. also, slow start at first but once you're sucked in it's oddly compelling.

Me too! I loved the metroidvania style of it. Had to figure out how to get certain items before I could progress further in another sub dungeon - I love figuring things out by myself!

Indeed it was one of those games which didn't hide anything from you but didn't spoon-feed you either. Games like that are most definitely in the minority nowadays
