    Elder Scrolls Online launch date

Elder Scrolls Online hits PC first, with next-gen consoles not far behind

It was previously revealed that Elder Scrolls Online players will be asked to pay $14.99/€12.99/£8.99 per month. There will be discounts for buying game-time in bulk. There will also be a cost for the purchase of the base game, which offers 30 days access.
So, Free to play by late next year?

I hope so, since that's the only way I'll play it. I simply don't have the time to justify subs-based games.

Likewise why pay for a sub when I can take that money and get myself a game after 2 months of saving, (or multiple games on steam/GoG). Seriously doubt it will have a massive draw after about 8-12 months. Even WoW went F2P ***EDIT*** Up to level 20 (although they did seems to outlast almost every other MMO, and I still think Guild Wars beat's WoW to this day).

When did WoW go F2P? As far as I knew it was only free up to level 20. (i.e. not really F2P).

I see my mistake, it's still Free to try up to level 20, then it's Pay to play. How people still manage to pay that monthly fee and still "enjoy" it, is way beyond any means I am able to apprehend.
