Default Dragon Age Origins Ultimate on Steam: not in SA

I see Steam is running a special on Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition for $7.50.

Yet another game apparently not approved for sale in our region - yet the base games and the expansions alone are approved...

Not sure if the FPB or EA are to blame - I'll try asking them tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath on an answer considering tit's the start of a long weekend in December.

You can check it here (added in the US country code): http://store.steampowered.com/app/47810/?cc=us

Awww yeah, thanks James! Now I can get it on steam

... can't seem to buy it after adding it to cart. Getting the following error:

"There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance."

Interestingly Dragon Age: Origins on its own and Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening are available for sale. It's just the Ultimate edition that's not available.

I hope you guys can get it! It's such an awesome game. Busy playing Awakening on the 360.

We've been through this*; reason is EA (sa) wants you to buy from their online site. I did however get DA2 from gamersgate US and DAO:U used TakeAlot to order... way back

However I see that amazon his it up for sale at same pricing as steam *whistle*

The Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition comes packed with the Awakening expansion and all nine content packs released for Dragon Age: Origins – all for an entirely reasonable recommended retail price. When the title was released, South African console gamers were treated to retail copies of the game (albeit in limited numbers), while PC gamers were left in limbo.

Many months have passed and we decided to find out once and for all if South African PC gamers can expect this bundle to arrive on their local retailer’s shelves.

Ralph Spinks of EA South Africa confirmed that they will not be bringing the PC version into the country. The title is only available through the EA Store as a digital download for R399.

Spinks said that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition sold “extremely well,” and that EA South Africa “are hoping consumers are ready for Dragon Age II which launches this Friday.”

Dragon Age II will retail at a recommended retail price of R499.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and R349.99 on PC.

But Origin does not have the "Steam sale" version, nor the "Trust us we aren't the embodiment of evil" vibe going for them.
