It's sad to see people are still as aggressive as they were in the mod. You're still very likely to get shot when you're carrying nothing but a torch and a battery. Would have been nice if this changed with the release of the SA, but oh well.
It's decent so far, even though the broken zombie and loot spawns are a bit of a downer at the moment.
Funny enough is, i got so frustrated on the South African servers as i barely find anyone who is friendly every person just wanna kill you on sight, and funny enough is when they get shot and respawn they are like "friendly" "friendly" just to quickly get gear again and repeat shooting you.
I went to a EU server and had such a good time, better community as well regarding DayZ SA, i ran around fully geared around Cherno and had like 5 people i met who wanna either run and explore together or do something not just see you and shoot you.
Perhaps something is really wrong with our South African folks? Trigger happy i say.
How playable is it on international servers? I know ArmA fares well with high pings, but I believe the dev team changed up the netcode for DayZ.
Biggest mistake = Using ArmA II engine. WTF we're they thinking?
Once you play Arma III you cannot go back to this shitty and clunky engine with its bad animations. Sigh.
Rather tempted to get this, played quite a bit of dayz ARMA2 mod version.
Some thing that the mod bugged me was the constant server resets, long connecting time, and funky zombie warping/clipping.
How big are the updates?
Does the server restart ever so often?
