    I'm more interested to know which ISP he was using. Name and shame so we all know which to avoid for privacy concerns.

    Besides... How did they pick up that he loaded it onto pirate bay? Afaik uploading a torrent file != uploading the file itself. So was he busted for seeding?

    That's typically how it works. Which is why his ISP is irrelevant.. It's much, much easier for the watchdog groups to troll through Pirate Bay and other open torrent sites, pull the list of seeding IP's from the tracker, and then giving the ISP a subpoena to ID the user using the IP at that time.
