Xbox One confirmed for South Africa in 2014

Microsoft Xbox South Africa has confirmed the Xbox One will be available in SA sometime in 2014.

Well, the PS4 doesn't really have a "must have" title - so that made it very easy for me to pass on it this year. Since Microsoft SA doesn't know when the XBOX One is hitting our shores, it could be 30 December 2014 for all we know. I don't know if I'm going to get it if it's that delayed since we are planning on emigrating to Canada within the next year or so. It might be smarter to just wait until we're there.

Also with it being $100 more than the PS4, locally I can see it easily hitting R7-8k

Well, we all expect the XBOX One to cost about R1000 more than the PS4 due to the kinect sensor (which is brilliant tech btw) included as standard with the console. So I would gladly pay R7k - R8k for the XBOX One.

One of the comments on the front page article said that it's no use getting one over a 360 since the games are going to be "the same" for a while. But, no. Just, no. Compare Forza 4 with Forza 5 and that blows that opinion clear out of the water. I think by the time we get the XBOX One it's going to be pretty damn desirable. I can't wait to see Forza 5 on my television at home. Whether it's in Canada or South Africa

Played on the xbone, meh it's ok I guess. I do like the new controller, spent like 20 minutes on it yesterday.

I really don't see myself buying a console at this stage and if any it will not be xbox one...

I only don't see myself buying a ps4 or Xbox one because I can't afford one.
