Hi,
Anyone here own RFG and experiencing extreme lags and lock ups?

Finally got this game yesterday, and was aware of some performance issues based on reviews I'd read, but holy crap - This thing locks up after every explosion (which is awesome for a game focusing on demolition), every cut scene, every step, every shot fired...
You can however play it with no problems in a Windowed mode, which is great except I already own a PSP.

I've put all settings as low as they can go - running a resolution of 800x600 and still no luck.

Anyone have any tweaking ideas, patches ... anything?

Doesn't look like there are any patches at the moment so i'm not sure how to help you.

Have you got the latest graphics card driver installed?

All good man - yeah I got the latest drivers installed - and then the game decided to not work AT ALL.
I trawled the net looking for a patch, which THQ says they're busy working on.....
Releasing a game that is virtually unplayable on anything but a Quad CPU is a bit of a chance.

I must still install this - might get round to it tonight - but I bought it on Steam... not sure if it will be the same as yours.

Did u get it for PS3 or PC? Coz yes its awesome but... get a bit old. Wonder what the modding for the PC is like....

i got the PC version for only R265 dude i am a very destructive person.... I become zoned out when I play games that you can blow up buildings with and stuff like that lol...

Ur one of those kids who would build lego cities then kick them to pieces wheren't u?

I see there is a pretty active modding scene, i might buy it for PC just to play around with the modding capabilities.

Yes yes im also a Pyromaniac but ja i played Medal of honor and I forgot about my objective took a tank and blew up whatever i could of buildings.... and now I think i have found the game that completes me Red Faction series FTW
