I didn't find Slender nor Amnesia scary, I found FEAR 1 and it's expansions Scary. Dead Space gave me the Heeby-geeby's as well.
I'm very skeptical. Wonder if he actually played it, or is he just playing "tough guy".
I'm wondering the same thing. Amnesia was the first game I ever played where it was a struggle to play just because it was so damn scary. I played in short bursts and it was an incredible achievement for me to finish it.
And I like scary games. The Silent Hills and so forth. Amnesia was just insane.
From what you guys are saying I am beginning to think I seriously didn't give Amnesia a good enough chance. I think I will attempt to give it a little more time to win me over.

There was however a scene in dead space 3 which scared the &$*(&^ out of me, because it was absolutely unexpected
Yeah I found amnesia scary going to the unknown not being able to defend yourself. There are three games I have played that scared me might I add,silent hill 2(that game was a mind stuff of note) outlast and amnesia.
AS for slender I don't see the appeal of it.
I have to agree with you on Silent Hill 2. And me playing it as a kid made it even worse.
That along with Resident Evil 3 did a number on me. I think that's why I stayed away from scary games, even now.
Anyone ever play the Project Zero/Fatal Frame games? I think they're probably as scary as scary can be.
