The Tekken movie prequel first announced back in 2011 will be called Tekken - A Man Called X and star Kane Kosugi.
The news comes courtesy of Cinema Today (via Kotaku), which reports that this will be Kosugi's first starring role in a Hollywood film. Up until now he's best known for his appearances in Godzilla: Final Wars and the regrettable DOA: Dead or Alive.
Seeing as the first live-action Tekken movie was such a disaster, you'd be forgiven for feeling miserable that another one's in the works. There's a slight chance that this one may be better though, as the director is Prachya Pinkaew, the gentleman responsible for Ong-Bak and The Protector.
If he manages to make another adrenaline-fuelled martial arts-fest, there's always a chance the creators of the Tekken franchise won't have to apologise for this one!
