20th Century Fox has acquired movie rights to fan-favourite CCG Magic: The Gathering

And what did i ask for when the thread for the Warcraft movie was started? ( all we need now is a Magic the Gathering Movie)
I should realy start making more requests for movies it seems

This can be such an epic movie series and i can see it as at least a long series like HP or Star Wars because the lore and the amount of myths and legends in MTG is endless.

Being an ex Magic player i would really enjoy this

If done by the right Director and some good actors i think it can be well worth it and i doubt it will be budget i think they might put some hitters behind this and if the 1st one makes it big they will make it a franchise if not it will fold and then become budget

Yeah true, but that does apply to pretty every movie ever made. I just highly doubt they will pull it off with magic. I hope I'm wrong.

This will either be terrible or amazing... If they are following the books the material is endless, But they might get an entirely new story written which could also be cool... But i agree they will make 1 and if its a hit then we will see a few follow...

Big budget will help... They gona need plenty for all the CG... I really enjoyed Pacific Rim mainly because of the special effects...
