    Lol. I remember when I bought my Dell U2711 monitor, there were folks online who were doing a "mod" to remove the anti glare coating from the screen in order to get the "iMac quality" the monitor is capable of. 3 months later, everyone that did the mod sat with cracked screens. Turns out the coating they removed was also crucial to protecting the screen itself against heat while operating lmao. Luckily I was not one of the saps that tried to do it. Considering my monitor cost R8k and is not available locally.

    I learned then and there that you do NOT "mod" a monitor.

    I personally live by the rule of "Don't mod anything, unless they're paying you".

    Why not mod if you dont use it and it has no warranty? It may be to your benefit...

    I love modding my old stuff. I would also mod if I knew exactly what I was doing, and it wasn't essential that I need it.
