They were happy to can Winamp, but AOL still wants a financial stake in it?Terms of the deal were not officially disclosed, but TechCrunch, which first reported on the rumours of the acquisition, said that the deal is worth between $5- and $10-million, with AOL taking a 12% stake in Radionomy.

AOL still exists?? O_o Haven't heard about them in a loooong time..
They only exist when there is someone they can screw out of money somewhere and when all is said and done they throw them to the cerb.
Winamp was a step child to them and now that someone else is willing to look after it and make something out of it again they want a claim and get profit. in my feel they should have given it to Radionomy, i mean they did kill it officially last year so why now show interest again
But i'm glad it's getting a second life it's the only player i use for my music
