    Default VDSL router needed

    Hi guys,

So I'm currently in the process of upgrading to a 20Mb line.

Now I need to replace my router with one that supports VDSL. Do you have any recommendations for me?

    Maybe something from Asus?

    Cheers

Have not seen an Asus model so probably only oversees.

I saw a ASUS dsl-N66U for about R2600 excl from Frontosa. Alternatively, you could always get a Pacer921 from telkom at R1249 incl.

I used Draytek a couple years ago. Very good for IPsec tunneling and reliable for connections (aka error reporting/detection and stable connection speeds).

Sorry for a bit offtopic, where in Cape Town are you situated? Curious to know where VDSL is enabled

    Northern Suburbs.

I found a ZyXEL one for R799 which would work.

It's over R2 000 though. A bit out of my budget right now considering I can get a ZyXEL one for R799.

Personally, I would rather write a note for every packet and run to the post office, before I buy a ZyXel anything.
