    Terrible games inspired by movies

Horrid video games based on movie licenses are a scourge on the gaming world

Much like game to movie adaptations, movie to game adaptations seem to be cursed. I know by now to stay very far away from any games made to cash in on a movie release. Some of the early Harry Potter games were decent but nothing else really comes to mind as worth playing.

About the only two I've ever played are Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay and Dark Athena. Out of the two, Dark Athena was the "worst", and it wasn't really too terrible. Just not as good. I really haven't bothered with many games inspired by movies. Because I know they'll be sh*t.

I remember the first game I had, the lion king. It was one of those kids games that mixed education with random stuff, that was fun but then again I was like 5 so yay for pretty pictures. Now my cuz is playing Despicable with the same concept, cut paste change lion to minion and sell by the truck load.

I was also unlucky enough to play Avatar on Wii, lots of remote waving and I did get the story except to run, bash guys with my long stick and run some more. It just felt weird, the only decent gameplay was flying the Banshee/ Ikran because well I was flying a fricking Ikran enough said.

Also wasn't there a Street Fighter: the movie: the game a cash in on the movie which was a cash in to the game?

    Lastly ET

Who can forget ET, the game that nearly killed the gaming industry.

That Charlie's angels one looks horrific! But Terminator was quite fun to play back in the day

Fantastic 4 was good but too short , so that put me off a bit.
I didn't enjoy 007:quantum of solace that much thought it was too controled, could not mess around or do my thing.

Well i actually played Avatar and it wasn't that horrid but it wasn't a gem either.
And the Lost World Jurassic park was also kinda decent(arcade game)

Also Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers & Return Of The King was good i enjoyed that
And Wolverine was well worth it

Wolverine, Battle for Middle Earth and the first Starship Troopers game are gems and everyone should play these at least once.

Take into account that the Nolan series Batman movies sparked the craze of the Arkham Batman games, which are, without a doubt, the best ever!
