Ever fallen in love with Cortana from Halo? Wanted to take her everywhere with you, hold her close, and tell her your deepest secrets? [Uh, you're on your own with this one, bro. - Ed]

Well in time you will be able to do all that - and more (... maybe) - according to a report from MSFTnerd (via Polygon).

Apparently Microsoft will be releasing a Siri-like app called "Cortana" for Windows phones, and this app will be voiced by none other than Jen Taylor, who has been the voice actress for the character since the first Halo game.

The app will launch around April in the USA, with British English regions getting the app throughout 2015-2016.

Microsoft also plans to incorporate this into Windows for PC and the Xbox One.
