The BioShock movie project might be dead but its concept art lives on

How a movie of Bioshock has not emerged is truly beyond me. An IP this gorgeous and full of depth should not be ignored. Still remarkable concept art

I think it's due to the fact that to faithfully represent the Bioshock world it would cost a fair sum of money. And after Prince of Persia's failure companies seem even less likely to want to spend a lot to adapt games to film.
