I guess it sucks that the newer versions are so crappy but if I could still just replay SH2 one more time (obviously better if I had never played it before but luckily my memory is pretty kak). Anyway I'll dig and report back if I find any info on the issues actually being resolved.
Back when the first patch released. But don't take my word for it, I've heard complaints about both games. I just didn't run into any issues when I replayed SH2, and I only played it the one time so I might've just gotten lucky.

    Hmm lets see

    1. God Hand
    2. God Eater Burst
    3. Tenchu - Wrath of Heaven
    4. Final Fantasy 8
    5. Dissidia Duodecim
Life is just one big joke.

I would love another Grim Fandango game.

Thanks for the feedback...I guess that initial patch may have fixed the issues in SH2 (seems like SH3 still has some issues). It's strange though because I've heard that some people have issues on one model of the PS3 and not on another model (i.e. the FAT vs the Slim). Just this talk about it has made me want to play it again so maybe I'll bite - looks like it's R200 from btgames (although for some silly reason it only shows the 360 version with the PS3 link doing nada) so maybe worth it in the long run especially if I can at least play through 90-95% of SH2 again without issues.

HD renditions of these titles would be freaking amazing. Especially the last 2 on that list

I'm not sure hey; part of the allure o that game was knowing that it existed as a singularity. A unique blip in the gaming radar

Yeah at the end of the day both games are playable from start to finish. There may just be a few bumps along the way :P

True, but if they keep everything exactly the same and only fix up the look and visual appeal I would buy it again and would be happy that later generations would actually experience it's awesomeness.

Knowing Grim however the game would be deliberately locked at 720p; and trying to increase it to 1080p would make the game more difficult because of your "graphical vanity" :P

Iv still got LOD on disc from PS1... Im sad to say that i never got into it though... I was so pre occupied with the Final Fantasy series, a mate told me to try LOD and i got it but never put in proper game time... Final Fantasy 7 8 and 9 all got over 100 hours out of me... FF8 probably closer to 200 hours coz iv replayed it so much...
