Game of Thrones

Ya James said people must make individual ones to discuss shows if they like then if its popular they will consider a TV Series sub forum...

Cant wait for GOT season 4, especially the Dragons... That shadow is HUGE :D

Dude, there are already threads about TV Show discussions.

There's nothing wrong with creating threads for specific topics. It does seem kind of pointless to start a thread about something, without actually saying something about it, though.

what an unexpected turn of events the 3rd season had. DAMN. Did not see the stuff from the 9th episode coming.

Had no idea about that what James had said.

I just thought that was what the TV Series forum is about. I acknowledge that there is nothing wrong about creating a thread for a specific topic, but then I might as well start a Thread about every single series I ever watch and liked (most of which I had already posted in the existing TV series thread).

Selfde hier. I will now just need to catch up to the TV series on my audio book again so that i can find all the details they left out or changed.

All i can say is DAMN!!! that's a lot of deaths. Luckily they keep all their actors on their toes this way. 1 bad performance and they move his/her ending closer :)

If there is one character I don't want to see die, it's King Joffrey.

Why? I want them to torture him over the course of an entire season. Slowly. And he deserves much much worse!

My favorite character is Tyrion "The Imp" Lannister. I don't care much about the others.

I have a feeling that Stark girl is gonna get some serious revenge on some people. With (possible) training from Hound and that faceless dude, she could become a badass assassin!

Oh, and dragons! :D

That bastard needs to be drawn and quartered by ponies so it lasts longer lol

As amazing and well done as the series is; I really can't get behind it after having read the books "whistling:

I suppose once you read the books there is no point in watching the series that's why I did not start reading the books.

It's not even that. I usually enjoy series based on books; however the problem is that I'm having trouble seeing how they plan to implement the last 2 books into the show without alienating their fans.

So, for those of you that have read the books, how close has the T.V series matched them?
Pretty close. Often the words line up perfectly.

The TV series does shuffle things around a bit...mostly to throw out minor characters. i.e. Have one of the existing characters say the line rather than a minor character. Really battling to think of a specific example now though.

The youngest brother Rickon was removed from the series though - or at least I don't recall seeing him. Opening scene is also quite different in book vs TV, but the effect is the same.

It sound like in the coming season they shuffled it a bit more though. Apparently Tyrions storyline was moved forward.
