Yes, but not all MMO's have a monthly subscription like WoW has. Maybe this is one of Blizzard's attempts to see how popular such a store might be to generate and income in lue of making the MMO free to play (but buy certain things with real money like other MMO's)

Perhaps then, when their new MMO comes out, make WoW free to play.

Or even better, their new MMO has these mechanisms in place and would be free to play.... who knows...

+1. I am itching to play, but alas feel i am too busy to play enough to make the R150~ subs per month worthwhile.

[edit] At 10 euros a pop with the current exchange rate of R11.19 to the euro, these pets are not something I'll be considering in the near future!
