That's a strange question. I can't remember if the article mentions anything like that.

But yes I was an athlete in school. Didn't do too badly at all.

I get a bit sick when watching someone else playing fps games, if they're particularly shaky or something.

Never myself. And I dont get sick in cars, planes, boats etc.

It depends on how far I sit from the screen. Very rarely become nauseous. I can however very easily get a migraine due to tessellation, tears and bloom over-kill.

Then that nixes my theory. I was thinking that it is perhaps possible that if you weren't an athlete and therefore unaccustomed to quick changes in your line of sight; then perhaps that might make you more liable to the motion sickness

Yup. I'm susceptible to bouts of motion sickness, so I get extremely nauseous when playing FPS for extended periods of time (esp. with fast camera settings). I also suffer from Sea Sickness on small boats and usually have to wear a patch.

I get both, Im very careful these days of what I play to prevent the motionsickness - nothing I have tried so far has worked for me. Most FPS games I give a skip unless they have an amazing story - then I play for a max 30mins at a time.

As for seasickness - just a floating dock will make me sick. Ironically I am fine on smooth lakes, dams, lagoons. The moment the water gets even a little choppy and it's time for me to get off.

I have taken the tabs - they knock me out within 10 mins :S Ans I have been known to jump overboard and swim to shore if it isnt to far out to get away from the seasickness
