xbone is just plain weaker. Not by much...but it is.

Perhaps. I suspect we'll see broadly similar optimization gains on both consoles though & thus the xbone will continue to fall behind.

If I'm wrong on that front then that would indicate a bright future for APUs though. (Which imo is going to happen anyway).

Exactly you always here about xbox fans saying they haven't utilized this and that, but remember that both machines are made by amd so do people think that xbox is going to get performance gains over the playstation4.Whatever gains are made by devs on xbox can easily be applied to ps4 because of the similar architecture's.

Correction ! only the CPU's are MADE by AMD and the cpu's are not exactly alike in both systems.

The APU is designed by AMD which includes the cpu and gpu on both systems.Ps4 GPU has more CU's (Compute units).

you're just repeating what we've known for months already ! the apu's are totally different even though they're made by AMD

The CPU and GPU's are both AMD (combined APU) and they are indeed built on exactly the same architecture, so just like a Radeon 7750 is the same architecture and the 7850, the one just has a higher count of the same "stuff" so it's inherently faster.

PC enthusiasts would understand exactly the kind of technical lead the PS4 has over the Xbox One and no amount of software optimisation is going to close that gap.

Exactly, any optimisations made on the Xbox one will benefit the ps4 just as much. The only difference is the esram, which is a band-aid for the slow ddr3 they are using.
