Watch Dogs has "a lot of stories to tell" with post-launch DLC

After missing its original launch date last year, Watch Dogs is now scheduled to hack your gamestations on an as yet unconfirmed date sometime later this year. But while the dev team works to finish the game, the game won't be over when you finish it - according to Ubisoft, Watch Dogs still has "a lot of stories to tell".

Talking to OXM, game producer Dominic Guay confirmed that "Yeah, we’re working on DLC plans right now, we definitely intend to have a DLC… we’re looking at early nextyear for potentially good timing for us, for that. There’s a lot of stories for us to tell in the Watch Dogs universe, and there’s different perspectives we’d like to explore, so I think for us it would be a great opportunity.

“One thing we’re also exploring is how we could, in the next month after shipping the game, create more gameplay within it, because it’s a rich city and we have a lot of ideas for fun things we could be doing in it that we don’t necessarily have in our scope right now, so we’ll be exploring different kinds of gameplay that we could also push within that gameworld following the release.”

The interview was published today, but actually took place before the last-minute delay announcement in October so it's possible that some of the content intended for DLC might be included in the launch version of the game.

Buuuut probably not.
I guess it makes sense in a game world like the one featured in Watch Dogs - possibilities for additional dlc are pretty endless. Here's to hoping it's not simply a cash cow and some decent thought actually goes into it.
