Default Uncharted 4 2014 Release "Doubtful"

Naughty Dog has stated it's "doubtful" that we'll see either Uncharted 4 or The Last of Us: Game of the Year Edition in 2014.

The news comes courtesy of community strategist Eric Monacelli, who responded to a fan question on the PS Blog about whether we'd see either title this year with a brief "Ha. Doubtful."

Uncharted is one of the most popular PlayStation-exclusive franchises, and has been developer Naughty Dog’s bread and butter for years. So it came as no surprise when Uncharted for PlayStation 4 was revealed with a brief, mysterious teaser. Since then, we've only had a sliver of more information, in the form of the game's motion capture actors tweeting pictures of their time in the studio.

We expect to see a lot more of Uncharted on Sony's latest console at this year's E3 in June. Hopefully we'll get a better idea of when Naughty Dog plans to launch the title then too.

Pretty much expected this, and too be honest I am willing to be very patient as I do not want this game releasing until I have a PS4 .

I don't believe them they pulling a fast one. I bet at E3 they anounce the release date for end if 2014.

I really hope so. This is the longest we've waited for a new Uncharted since the first game's release

I have the 2nd and 3rd one ( have not played any yet), does the story follow on each other? If so, I will get the 1st instalment of the game sometime.

The stories don't really 'follow', no. Each title is a self-contained storyline. But you do learn more about the characters, how they met and their relationships etc with each installment, so I would recommend starting with no.1.

Will get myself the first one this coming weekend. Got other stuff to finish first.
