Hey guys!

Maybe some of you can help me out here...

So I got the urge to play Grid 1 again after a few years (OK actually just wana drift with the Toyota AE86 again after watching Initial D recently lmao!) and installed it again, installation went fine but as soon as I start up the game, with disc inserted, after the intro and whatnot it just hangs at the loading screen not hangs as in freeze but running and just the circle icon bottom right turning the whole time as in "loading" plus the driver's achievements coming and going on screen...

I dunno if this info might help but last time I played it I had a Core2Quad Q9400 setup with normal hdd running Win 7 32bit pro and all was fine but now I've upgraded to an AMD FX8350 990 chipset setup running a ssd Win8 pro 64bit and R9 280X

Is the game maybe updating with a new patch? (It doesn't indicate that its updating...)
Even tried it with internet off and uninstalled and re-installed it 3 times but still the same thing

Hope you can help me out...?

Left it hanging on loading screen for 6 hours thinking maybe its updating or something (got MTN uncapped Lite so speeds not the best in the world after the 3gb line speed cap...) but still the same thing...

check for a patch otherwise (seeing as you have the original) just download a crack and see if that helps

Don't really wana download a crack... Prefer it all legal but if push comes to shove, then I'll consider it.

well you have the original so it's original you don't pirate it.

codemasters stopped supporting the game over a year and a half already, which means no more patches and no more online mode available, so just grab the crack, also check ur compatibility settings in windows somegames require you to set compatibility to xp mode in order to work properly
