Playing time pretty much and not really fitting into Mourinhos plans... The weird thing about the last 2 games was that even though we drew and lost, I felt that it was one of the rare times this season that there was any urgency in the play and some sort of fight that you usually associate with MUFC at home.
Haha, he just isnt his type of player, Mata is world class and was one of my favorites, but you can see the work Jose is making Hazard Oscar and Willian do in the midfield, dropping back, really working for the team, committing to defensive headers (something which you will notice mata never does, even now at United).
I don't know hey, I didn't see any of that...What I've been seeing is lack luster performances, I don't know if Moyes is the right coach for Man U, I don't think he knows how to handle the players and in all honesty I don't think they respect him either.
Yeah true as well. I guess we'll see how things go.
Just wish Fergie would come back and kick the shit out of the team.
Moyes has never been a mover or shaker in general. He prefers to play things safe and stick with what he knows and that can never work with a team like ManU. Even off the pitch he lives by this mantra. For instance he's put in a truck load of money trying to buy players from Everton because that's what he is fully comfortable with even if their quality isn't on a MANU standard, (I mean 30 million for Fellaini...). Compare and contrast Mourinho who was willing to sell Mata (THE fan favourite) and De Bruyne (lauded by pundits as the next big thing) without flinching; But in so doing brought in Matic and Salah. Players whom are making more of an instant impact at their new club than either Mata or de Bruyne and yet still costing less combined than Mata was alone.
The day Moyes joined Manchester was grim indeed for the club...BEST! DAY! EVER!
Difficult to come in a keep the momentum going after arguably one of the greatest managers ever has left, but football is all about results and if you don't get them......short career.
Perhaps Fergie was the only one capable of bringing the best out of the squad but he is now gone and the players need to stand up and be counted. I always felt that United carried a lot of passengers, and when the team is not performing they are exposed. Evans ( a total plonker), Clevery and Young come to mind as a few examples, and to still to still have to rely on Giggs to make an impact....something is amiss.
Yup cant wait for Champions League next week ! I personally think Man City will knock barca out if they can get Aguero back and get back to the old scoring form.
Arsenal i dont have much hope for against Bayern Munich.
And Galatasaray is definitely a team that can cause an upset, they have some great players, and Drogba is coming home
As a United fan, I'm hoping Gunners beat us 6-0 tonight. I am fed up with Moyes and his moronic crossing tactics (81 crosses in 90 mins vs Fulham)
