I'm gonna cancel my contract when it expires in dec, not going to upgrade as my S3 does everything I expect it to do. Battery lasts 24h with medium usage and never gave me any crap

Never use free minutes, as I do not call, I chat and have an afrihost wifi thingy with me for data.

    Prepaid here I come!
I had to sell my iPhone 5s over December due to financial strain from a break-in, long story short, I bought an S2 for a grand. Give me longer battery life, and I see absolutely no need for another phone for a while. Once my contract is also finished, I will be cancelling. All I ever do is whatsapp, and browse. No calls whatsoever really. Well, nothing R50 airtime won't sort out

I love my apps and being in IT my phone rings all the time - I wouldn't mind having a dumbed down phone but as I said I love epic apps too much!

I'm happy with my iPhone and there are some brilliant resources and websites full of tips and tricks on how to optimize your phone and also power-user advice. Not saying that there isn't the same for android, but the amount of resources for iOS is fantastic.

I think with the iPhone 6 coming in with a larger screen, it will trump the S5 in terms of sales. A lot of people went Android over the whole screen issue. I think Apple will win this years smartphone race by a few meters.

I think it's more because of iOS lacks hundreds of functions compared to Android. I had an iphone 4s, only for 1 DAY and sold it(got it from that MTN deal where it went for R2k). As it lacked stuff I used on a day-to-day basis on my S3.

I can barely fit my phone in my pocket, so I really hope that huge phones aren't the way of the future. Small can also be good.

You really are the minority then dude. As much as Android trumps iOs in terms of apps, and features, 90% of the population do not need it, hence Apple being the brand that they are. Simplistic.

My Note 3 could fit into my pockets without an issue.

Unless you're a girl, most phones should easily fit in your pockets, even the Samsung notes are ok in that regard.
