Web Africa restructures their capped ADSL product range, with prices as low as R1.50 per GB

Ooh awesome for those that are still on capped products! Will maybe get myself a 300gb package sometime, as I use between 250 and 300gb every month. Works out a couple of hundred bucks cheaper for me compared to uncapped

I was quite happy on Afrihost 75gig capped account but my line is actually with WA (2gig cap). Think I'm gonna go back to WA on their 90gig cap...with a free 90gig afterhours. Madness.

I could never go back to a capped account. To stop every now and again and have to worry about reaching your limit is just so ....... 90's. Plus, it's webafrica, meh.

So R899 for 300GB when you could pay far less for an uncapped account? I will never understand why anyone still goes for capped... unless you use less than 1GB a month.

Well for me...because its unthrottled and unshaped data. No issues with rolling windows, abuse letters, peak time shaping etc. Plus, uncapped is fucken expensive when you have a fast line. This way you get to have a fast line and a decent amount of data.
I used to be on uncapped, 4mb line. I used on average 70gigs a month, with the highest months being 150gigs. My line speed got increased to 10mb but that price increase for uncapped was ridiculous. Change to a capped account and now I get all that speedy goodness for less of a price that the original 4mb uncapped data. Plus to get decent uncapped you need to pay for the premium accounts, those standard accounts are a joke. Can't even stream netflix properly on them.

Its actually R899 for 600gigs (300 of those only usuable 12-6am) though I'll admit.

I guess that makes sense. Guess I haven't used enough data in a month to know what it feels like to really be throttled
