    Check this out: antilag

In general it's a good idea, even for lower latency. But people will probably be playing with 100ms or more so I'm not sure how well that will work.

and here is a rather unbiased review

The whole p2p thing still does suck. Games pausing to migrate host. Trying to join a game and it's trying to set up a new one so you're in lobbies of everyone leaving to find an actual ongoing game to join. The way you can be playing then it just ends and you have to find a new match.

The system would be good as a side option a quick match, but it really does limit the options. In cod4, i pick servers often on the level. No such luxury here. I'd be happy to keep it, but the dedicated server thing, is definitely a huge minus.

All said I am enjoying the gameplay of the multiplayer, but it is inferior. The lack of lean is a huge annoyance to me. I was always a hardcore mode player and this just seems a bit simplified. You can't really take cover and lean and shoot back like you used to. It's more, run around, shoot, find a spot and shoot until someone see's you who you don't see first. It's all just less tactical, less precise. While fun, it's just a bit lacking from what you normally expect from pc games.

The levels so far are good, but there's no doubt they would be awesome with the game play of cod4 or waw.

So it's not a total loss, but even with all the matchmaking annoyances, the game play is weaker than what's expected. In the end that's whats needed for longevity. At the moment i'm happy with the nice shiny, detailed levels, but I do miss the cod4 style of gameplay.

First patch absolutely needs to add the ability to lean and dedicated servers down the line is a must. If cod4 had the matchmaking i probably still wouldn't have been playing so long.
    Another Unbiased review

Overall, not a bad gam but it's not as good as CoD4. IW have also tryed to make it annoying with taking out the console and the ability to alt-tab to desktop (ctrl-alt-del only folks). The lag is noticeable too at times. It's like playing on a rubbish server where you shots don't register. I don't care what anyone says, I can tell the difference and at times it's terrible. S&D is another problem. I waited 5 minutes and no game. This is mainly because IW have locked S&D out until you reach level 13. So there wasn't too many people around at this time in the morning.

marks out of 10.....6. It feels like a flashy arcade game that will not last long due to the competition...CoD4. Such a shame as the game is better than CoD4 but the limitation are glaringly obvious).

    Another

I have been playing for the best part of 4 hours now here in Australia.
originally it was all working fine, hardly any lag, good games..etc etc
last 2 or so hours i have been connecting to games with the worst connections possible, hosts leaving(and migration failing), and sometimes timeouts while searching for a game.

IWnet is no where near as good as you think!
I held my tounge when the whole flame wars broke out, but now i have the game and can say (with experience behind me)that IWnet is no good.
this is my feedback, whats your reply?

(please don't turn this into a "i told you so thread" because even though you told me so, i still got the game)

so pretty much. could have been so much more. has potential that probably won't be tapped due to them catering for people suffering from A.D.D

    Play games, not platforms
