Oh no, what’s going on here? So much hate! Please, won’t somebody please think of the children?

I can’t speak for Gavin, but I do know that he is driven by competition. Sometimes, that ambition gets the better of him, but believe it or not, he’s not a maniac with an axe to grind against any perceived threats. If you can get past his undying love for Liverpool, he’s actually a damn cool bloke, who just wants what’s best for the industry.

And I’m not ashamed to admit it, I truly do see MyGaming as our primary rival. Not sworn enemy, rival. And that’s a good thing. We both excel in different areas, and when I see the lads here do something better, than our efforts on the same subject, I want to surpass that. Competition is good for everyone.

It’s not Mweb (Not by a very, very, very long shot) that I visit and browse, it’s this site. I've got a friendly relationship with most of the folks writing on other gaming sites, and that's me. I hate fighting.

There’s some valid criticisms for both sites, which we’ve all attempted to address from time to time. Is MyGaming a more professional and objective site? Yes, yes they are. Is Lazygamer more of a blog and biased? You bet your ass we are.

We’re passionate about gaming and the surrounding culture. I’d be an even bigger liar than our president if I tried to pass off our work as objective journalism for 100% of the time. We've always been clear on when we're blogging and when we're doing actual proper journalism.

I've got much love for the work that James, Quinton and co produce here, and when it comes down to it, both our sites are two sides of the same coin.

If I ever give your two overlords crap online, it’s more of a friendly jab than anything else. I want to see our industry grow, and there is space for blogging and journalism. There is place for objective reporting and passionate stories. Some of you prefer that style. Other folks like having their opinions validated by a similar viewpoint. That’s life.

For those of you who had kind words for myself, Geoff, Zoe, Stephen and Matt, I thank you. For those of you who flung some criticism our way: It’s been noted. I do want to improve, and I’m always just a tweet/comment away from being that that article are kak bru.

Snide comments, war and hate. That means nothing to me. Much love to all of you, and keep up the great work MyGaming.

Nice to see someone actually taking the time to register and pour some cold water on the tension. Handled with maturity always wins the day.
