HAH! Yeah, look, my intention was not to minimise your negative experience. I was just trying to shed some humour on the topic. I'm glad that, unlike me, you did not respond with violence because that's not a smart reaction (especially when the unknown asshats may be armed). Walking away is the best thing you could've done. These days I've learned to exude an 'aura of rage' when I'm out in public. It is effective in that it makes me completely unapproachable to those I don't want to be approached by. Obviously I wouldn't behave this way at, say, RAGE or any other event where most of the strangers are (what my friends and I like to call) 'our team'.
