    3. I just don't agree with it.
    4. You're telling me that I "have" to accept and agree with someone's choices in life?
    5. If that's the case, go talk to some Jewish folks and mention that Hitler "wasn't such a bad guy".
    6. What this thread proves is one thing: people will bash whoever and whatever they feel like.
    7. There is f@#$-all respect left in this generation.
    1. I'm gay. My religion is fine with it. Religious views are a poor excuse to discriminate - on any level.

    2. Gee, thanks. Your attitude and disdain are more than enough to perpetuate the hate machine, though.

    3. That doesn't make your position any stronger than ours. Just an uninformed, and incorrect, one.

    4. We're not telling you that you "have to" do anything. We're saying that, just as you have your right to an ignorant viewpoint, we have the right to call you out on it. Surely the same rules should apply? Go see my previous post. You do not "own" the right to feel victimised for your views on this matter. Your views are the "oppressive" ones.

    5. Funny you mention Hitler, because what you're doing is like Hitler going "Gosh guys, this is just what I believe, stop oppressing my views!". Incidentally, Hitler hated the gays too. See how easy it is to use Hitler as a pathetically weak argument tool?

    6. See point number 4. Stop playing victim. Your opinion is the one that discriminates against a minority based on false assumption and ignorance.

    7. You show me your respect, and I'll show you mine.

If you're feeling a bit ganged up on, maybe reflect on how that's how every gay person feels when they meet people like you, who share your same "you're wrong because I believe so" attitude, and how that feeds into our very identity, and can lead to some terrible, sad and crushing experiences.

If neg rep on a forum is the most oppression you've felt in your life, then you are clearly out of your depth in this discussion.

    Check your privilege.

Just a suggestion: Maybe we should avoid the religious aspect of this discussion, just to save ourselves a lot of grief.

    Use it/don't use it.

Exactly. Whenever I consider passing judgement on a fellow human on this earth I remember what the Lord said...

Don't have time to watch the video or go through the whole thread now. I'll check it out later. But since there is a big debate going on about the right/wrong of homosexuality, let me just say that to disapprove of someone because of their sexual orientation is incredibly narrow-minded. It's not something they can choose, it's not something that does any harm to anyone else, and really, there's nothing at all wrong with it. It's just a part of who someone is. It doesn't mean someone is a better or worse person. In fact the only difference it should make in how you see someone is that it would affect your chance to score with them depending on your relative genders and preferences.

Actually, we do have those rights, generally enshrined in basic human rights. You murder someone in cold blood for not buying wards in Dota 2 and I'm not allowed to tell you it was wrong?
