Sony has announced that as of 8 February 2014, the PlayStation 4 has cumulatively sold through more than 5.3 million units

Well if you think about it the ps3 was late to the party and grossly overpriced.Now compare that to the Ps4 it launched slightly ahead of its competitor is 100 dollars cheaper more powerfull and has launched basically everywhere.It is almost funny how its competitor basically followed in the ps3 launch footsteps.

Ya you actually make a good point... yes sony have done well but x-box have made the flaw of riding on the success of the 360 like sony did with the ps2....
