Harry Potter fans wouldn't have liked it if a blonde boy was cast as HP. I, as a fan of Tomb Raider, would be pretty peeved to hear Lara Croft is now going to be a black woman with dreadlocks in a new film. Not because I am racist or against powerful black women, but because you are used to the character having a certain look and part of the fun of a live-action adaptation is seeing how close an actor comes to resembling your favourite characters.

I'm not saying what they did is wrong, and I'm not at all familiar with the FF comics so it does not affect me whatsoever, but I can understand that changing significant details of a character's look is a little annoying to some.
