You're part of a minority, though. A lot of people felt Absolution was a massive misstep from the franchise. IO-Interactive have already confirmed that the next Hitman game will draw inspiration from the older games and that they're removing a lot of things that were introduced in Absolution, like small, linear levels and checkpoints, so they know what they did wrong with Absolution.

The people who enjoyed Absolution are mostly from the camp of people who never played (or finished) the previous games, and I suspect we'll see the same thing happening with the new Thief game.



So I have to buy, then play the game myself, before I can call it shit? Despite a lot of reviews calling it shit and it looking like complete shit on streams? Sorry, but no. That's flaky logic. I don't have to dip my finger in shit to know it's shit. I've been playing games long enough that I can spot shit from a distance.

I played and finished all the games in the Hitman series multiple times before Absolution came out and I've finished Absolution more than once as well (think Ive played about 50 hours so far) and I still play a level or two from time to time. I will agree that it's not as good as some of the other games in the series but it is still an awesome Hitman.

IMO if you haven't played a game, read a book, watched a movie, etc. then your opinion on said game etc. means pretty much nothing. That's just me though.
