I found this to be true with the Prince of Persia reboot. I saw a "music video" trailer for the game and I just knew that I would enjoy the game - which I did despite it not being everyone's cup of tea.
All the time. Which is why E3 is my favourite time of the year (gaming-wise) as we see all those spanking new trailers that allow me to fall in love with dem new games

But I find they mostly dont really live up to expectation for me. Thought I was gonna be like that with BF4, but all the problems absolutely ruined my love affair. Titanfall also, thought I would love it...but meh after playing. There are too many factors involved with games to make it a black and white decision for me.

Ya BF4 was a pity. I pre-ordered and got Premium and everything, now I think I should have waited.

But it's also because I'm a long time BF fan

I'd never seen that video, but this is the one that grabbed my attention.

Still one of the most enchanting game worlds I've played in - and the loneliness and isolation just makes it more poignantly beautiful. I was just seriously PO'd that the DLC that kinda resolves the story never came to PC.

Trust me, you don't. It's very straight-forward and the puzzles aren't difficult at all. It's a lot more of an interactive adventure than the previous PoP games, but is beautiful and one of the games I treasure the most in my collection.

I generally watch a ton of videos' and write-ups before forking out the cash. If the company cannot convey what needs to be said in those 10min, as in, to sell their product, tough luck. I've moved on.

For sure. I tend to stay away from promo video's which dont actually show in game footage. Those just piss me off.
