Seems good communities favour the less serious styles of games (TF2 & Loadout) or niche games (FAF). Not quite sure what to make of Diablo though? Care to elaborate Joker?

I have a huge list of SA players steam profiles, that I know are a bunch of dicks in Dota, currently sitting on 37 and I barely play Dota 2 xD

That doesn't give me much hope for playing it Maybe I'll gather up some friends to play with instead.

It definitely is the type of game that is more enjoyable when playing with friends, although you'll still encounter trolls on the other team.

But at least my team won't shout at me for being a bad player, honestly that's the worst thing about playing online. I can take hate from the other team, but when your own team starts abusing you, it stops being fun very quickly.
