Yeah, I guess the first thing we need is a non-corrupt government But I did read that the 25 richest people in the world collectively have as much money as the poorest 3.5 billion people in the world. I'm just saying if they maybe got taxed a bit more, and the government wasn't stealing the money, a lot could be done very quickly to lesson the gap between the rich and poor.

The top 1% of the richest people on earth own 80% of the worlds natural wealth. That is true.

You will also find that that 1% don't give a shit about other people and are pushing a globalist agenda, they're the ones that put people like Zuma in power.

Rich people in general though, your entrepreneurs and successful businessmen alike can't be put into that same category.

So I hear what you're saying, but it just wouldn't be fair to people who have worked hard for their millions/billions legit.

The rich already get taxed at 40% and that's after their company is taxed at 28% so effectively from every R1 a self made businessman makes, he only gets R0.432 off it. Maybe we should lower our taxes and sort out our theft issues instead of throwing more money in government pockets

The amount of tax paid in total is beyond stupid, it doesn't encourage growth at all. It's a lot easier to set up a company in SA that somewhere like the US, but the charges that hit you here are worse.
You lose close on half of your net profit in tax. Corporate tax, wages tax, end of year tax etc... Tax tax tax tax tax...
