Played the beta on my Xbox One and had no problems. Ping was always around 160ms.
This sucks for the people wanting to play Titanfall but I think EA has done the right thing by not releasing it here you cant play a fast paced shooter with that sort of ping.
OK why is everyone up in arms about this? Because lets be honest this is what is going to happen now:
Electronic Arts (EA) South Africa
Let me tell you what is going to happen with Titanfall:
1: Someone within the next few weeks, will start to host a pirate server for the game.
2: Thousands of players are going to goto [URL removed] and purchase your game for the grand amount of R0.00 ($0.00 for your overseas departments)
3: By the time you finely admit you screwed up and actually just ask Mweb to host your server, no one will care.
4: You have damaged your image so badly with your last few game releases that I think this will be the straw that breaks the camels back.
5: YOU DESERVE TO LOOSE EVERY SALE IN SA. AND WHEN YOU DECIDE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF PIRACY YOU SUFFER FROM AND HOW IT EFFECTS YOUR FUTURE GAMES AND PRICING JUST REMEMBER THIS DECISION AND THAT YOU CAUSED IT YOURSELF!
When you have to write in caps to get your point across you LOSE the point you are trying to make.
You fail to understand the point that the size of the South African market becomes a rounding error in their results - we don't matter.
Folks will pirate regardless what EA does, so as a whole this point of yours falls a little flat.
Guess someone was asleep in Economics and English class?
At this point in time S.A is not a viable option for MS and Azure, perhaps with the launch of the XBONE, we could see some servers pop up with partnerships with Mweb and other ISP's. How ever by that time a lot of people would have lost interest in the game so it becomes pointless to do so in the first place, unless of course they will create servers for future game releases.
